Kirkland is a suburb of Seattle on the Eastside of Lake Washington. Features of the city include the unique downtown waterfront (the only Eastside downtown frontage along Lake Washington’s shoreline), with restaurants, art galleries, a 400 seat performing arts center, public parks, including beaches, and a collection of public art, primarily bronze sculptures.

Kirkland School Information

Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is located between Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains, to the east of Seattle. Covering 76 square miles, LWSD is the public school district for the cities of Kirkland and Redmond as well as about half of Sammamish. On the north end of the district, some Bothell and Woodinville residents also attend our schools.
